Hello, SER-AMTAS!
Happy New Year! We hope you all are doing well and adjusting back into another semester of being a student music therapist. As you may have heard already, our annual regional conference will be IN-PERSON! The SER-AMTAS 2022 Regional Conference will be held at the Campbell House Hotel in Lexington, KY from March 24-26. Conference is a great opportunity to network with other students, professionals, internship sites, and musicians in our region. Our regional board will continue to monitor COVID cases and precautions as conference approaches, but we will also be implementing preventative measures along with the Hotel to make this experience safe and enjoyable for all of you. Please continue to check our conference site below as these details, along with registration, begin to roll in. https://www.ser-conference.org/ We are excited to announce that we are now accepting applications for our Passages Conference! For those of you unfamiliar with this, Passages is a series of presentations led by student music therapists for student music therapists in part with the SER-AMTA Conference. This year's theme is "Shifting Perspectives." What are the things that you are learning and unlearning about as a student music therapist? What areas in our field need more attention or a shift in perspective? What are you and/or students in your area doing to foster growth in our profession? If you have research, presentations, or a topic that you'd like to present on, the SER-AMTAS board would love to see your submission!
